Fear is one of the basic, negative but necessary feelings all of us experience from time to time. We feel it for a reason, usually to protect us. There is of course a difference between harmless fears which have no or little impact on our day to day lives and strong fears or phobias. Fear of falling, along with fear of load noises are the only two fears we are born with, all the others are learned. Yet even these fears which seem to be a part of our genetic makeup we can learn to overcome. This recording is designed to help you to begin to reprogramme your mind to react in an appropriate way when you visit high places. The aim is for you to learn how to relax, breathe naturally and easily and allow your mind to focus on the task in hand or perhaps the beauty of the view in front of you. In addition to this recording being written and delivered by Darren Marks one of the UK´s leading hypnotherapists and NLP practitioners, it also utilizes dual delivery hypnotherapy (DDH) and brainwave entrainment. DDH involves different suggestions or metaphors being delivered separately yet simultaneously through the right and left headphones. The effect is deeply hypnotic and has the advantage of helping the unconscious mind to accept beneficial suggestions with less conscious interference. Brainwave entrainment refers to the brain´s electrical response to rhythmic stimulation. When the brain is stimulated through one of our physical senses it emits electrical charges which are converted by the brain into what we see, hear and feel. When the brain is exposed to rhythm, the rhythm is recreated in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm is the right speed it can begin to mimic natural brainwave patterns. When this occurs, the brain reacts by synchronizing to the same rhythm. This phenomenon is called the Frequency Following Response (or FFR). FFR is used here to assist people to rapidly access deep meditative states which c... 1. Language: English. Narrator: Darren Marks. Paul told the Romans ´´the Law is holy and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.´´ Yet four times in three epistles he wrote, ´´We are not under law but under grace.´´ Christians read these seemingly conflicting statements and are easily confused. They wonder if anyone can understand how the law and the Old Testament relates to their faith. Some take the easy way out and all but ignore the Old Testament calling it legalism. They prefer to concentrate on and enjoy the magnificent grace of God that comes with salvation. This limits their understanding of the Scriptures and indeed, restricts spiritual growth. Confusion further abounds because just about every denomination has a different interpretation of the law and the relationship between the testaments. Lester Stephenson proposes a different approach rooted in Jesus´ words in Matthew 5:17-18, ´´Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.´´ Those two verses call for Christians to look anew at the law and the rest of the Old Testament. Not one part of the law or what the prophets wrote will pass away until Jesus has completely fulfilled it. Stephenson stresses that Christians must recognize the importance of the Bible that Jesus and the apostles used. Each time Jesus and the apostles used the phrase, ´´it is written´´ they were using an Old Testament passage to illustrate a New Testament principle. In A Biblicist View of Law and Gospel, Stephenson advocates a biblicist view based on careful Bible study to explain how Christians are to view the law and the way the testaments fit together as an inspired whole. 1.
